Everything About logo Designing: In Short!
After working with hundreds of clients from cross the world we have decided to write this blog to help you understand the process of logo designing, and how you can give your business a uniqueness in terms of products and services that your business is going to provide which is easy to remember to your target audience.
What is Logo?
Logo is a creatively designed art that expresses your business and its products in just a few alphabets, which has to be designed for simplicity and clarity. During the process of any business startup such as personal fitness blog, tech start-ups, small or medium sized enterprise and corporations introducing new products or services. At any case, you need a logo that would represent your idea and could be easily remembered by your target audience or customers.
Why do we need a Logo?
There is great book written by Plato “Allegory of the Cave” in that he wrote, we as human began to learn about the shape and forms from very early in our life, as they represent the intangible meaning.
Therefore, logo is the combination of alphabets, shapes and certain picture which have been designed creatively to express our tangible or intangible ideas or feeling engraved into our offering.
In simple term, a logo is just like a human face that expresses who we’re as person.
Without Logo a brand is meaningless!
Asking question is the very first step of logo creation.
Five questions you need to ask yourself before creating a logo. Remember the tag line Just do it by Phil Knight’s Nike. You and your team must take the initiative at the first place regardless to the prior experience in designing or sketching.
Here are those question
- What your business going to offer?
- Do you need an expressive design?
- Who are your customers?
- Do you have a long-term vision?
- Is this for an umbrella brand or just for a product/service?
Remember, avoid modern AI based auto designing tool because it can never bring those feelings, you have in your heart for your brand. We human have feeling and emotion which cannot be replaced by a logical machine
After finding these answers, it is the time to see your designer and tell them what you want to create.
A logo should have five major distinctive features, they are:
- Simplicity
A logo should be designed for simplicity in which letters are placed at a distance which can be easily read from any distance. The character should place at a uniform distance from each other.
- Uniqueness
There must be something unique about your logo or design work that make you customer remember your brand name from its unique feature. It can be your font, Color or writing, graphic, etc.
- Short & Versatile
A short logo is often easy to call and remember; whereas, versatility is another feature that let you use your logo at different places such as your website, social media presence, pamphlets, banner, etc.
- Expressive
As we have discussed during this blog, a logo must be expressive which should express your ideas or the nature of your business industry from its name, creativity graphics work and images.
- Timelessness
It is important that you build something with a long-term vision, as nothing happens overnight. You need to advertise your logo for several years to build a brand reputation.
